Week 11: Los Angeles Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Lines, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Last season matchup between the Rams (6-3 SU, 5-4 ATS) and the Buccaneers (7-3 SU, 5-5 ATS) brought us one of the wildest game of the season, and while we can hardly expect the score similar to 55-40, we surely are in for a proper Monday Night Football treat. The stakes couldn’t be higher at this stage of the season. LA is traveling southeast after a win over Seattle that brought them within one game in the win column from the top of the NFC West. The game is just as important for their opponents, Tampa Bay, as they are breathing down the neck of New Orleans in their own division.
Week 11: Los Angeles Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Lines Movement
The Bucs opened the betting market for this game as early -3 favorites and with a lot of action coming their way, the line has moved to -4. As both teams feature stout defensive units, the oddsmakers expect a tight game with the total set at 48.
Notes on Los Angeles
As we come closer to the end of the regular season, the Rams’ defense is turning into the juggernaut everyone expected them to be. Last week, led by the two-time DPOY Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, and Darious Williams, they kept Russel Wilson and Seattle’s explosive offense to just 16 points, by far their lowest sore this season. The Rams are now No2 in the NFL both in total and scoring defense. The offense, although not as spectacular as in some of the previous seasons, still gets the job done and ranks around the middle of the league in most of the categories. On Monday, the offensive line will be weakened, as the Pro Bowl left tackle Andrew Whitworth injured his knee against the Seahawks and will be out for a few weeks.
QB Jared Goff now has two straight 300-yards games, but with only one touchdown total. The excellent pass defense of the Buccaneers won’t make things easy for him, so it may be best to skip him as this week’s fantasy option. The same goes for his receivers who are flex option at best.
Notes on Tampa Bay
After the embarrassing loss to New Orleans, Tampa Bay managed to bounce back last week against Carolina with a convincing 46-23 win. The fifth win in six games came on the back of some excellent offensive play. Tom Brady threw for 341 yards and a3 touchdowns, adding another one on the ground. RB Ronald Jones had a career-high 192 rushing yards and also a touchdown. Tampa’s run defense continues to dominate and is the best in the league allowing only 3.3 yards per carry, while they have wavered a bit against the pass lately, mostly due to a lot of young players in their secondary.
The riches of offensive weapons at Tom Brady‘s disposal make the Buccaneers one of the scariest offenses in the NFL but can be an issue when it comes to choosing players for your fantasy lineup. Mike Evans has been the most consistent receiver this year with 40 receptions for 514 yards and 8 touchdowns but will face one of the toughest matchups this week in Jalen Ramsey, so it might be better to go with Chris Goodwin or Antonio Brown who’s slowly coming back to form.
Week 11: Los Angeles Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Pick UNDER 48
Although both teams feature quarterbacks capable of spectacular performances, their identity this year is still defined by the defense. We expect a tight game with both teams trying to establish defensive dominance.
