It was noted that East Dundee has one video gambling terminal for every 51 residents, which is second-highest on the list. When it comes to the revenue figures for the money taken in by these electronic gambling games, Oakbrook Terrace took in $5 million over the past year according to the Illinois Gaming Board. This resulted in $227,956 in tax revenue for the city. The figures for East Dundee exceeded $3.6 million in gambling revenue with tax revenue for that city topping out at $169,844.

Carol Garritano is the owner of Carol’s Corner Pub in East Dundee. She is a strong proponent of video gambling machines after seeing how much her business has grown since adding the video slot machines. She was quoted as saying, “It’s added a lot. There’s enough to share. It seems like everyone wants to get a little of the profit.”
