NFL Week 14 Prime Time Betting Picks
The NFL returns to its regular prime time schedule this week. All the action starts with Thursday night’s New England Patriots at Los Angeles Rams inter-conference clash.
Thursday Night Football- New England Patriots (6-6) at Los Angeles Rams (8-4)

New England continues to keep its postseason hopes alive with four straight-up wins in its last five games. The Patriots have covered against the spread in four of their last six outings. The Rams moved to 8-4 SU (7-5 ATS) with a solid 38-28 road victory against Arizona last Sunday.
My lean is towards New England plus six points on coaching alone. Bill Belichick will have his team ready for this West Coast trip.
Sunday Night Football- Pittsburgh Steelers (11-1) at Buffalo Bills (9-3)
Coming off its first SU loss of the year, Pittsburgh goes on the road to Buffalo as a slight 1 ½-point favorite. The total for this key AFC tilt is 47 ½ points.
Pittsburgh’s dream of running the table in the regular season came to a sudden halt. Monday’s stunning 23-17 loss to Washington as six-point home favorites ended the 11-game SU run. That should be motivation enough for Sunday night’s matchup.
I am actually going with the UNDER on 47 ½ points as my top play. The total has stayed UNDER or ended as a PUSH in six of the Steelers’ last eight games. It has also stayed UNDER in four of the last five meetings between the two.
Monday Night Football- Baltimore Ravens (6-5) at Cleveland Browns (9-3)
Baltimore will be on the road as a one-point favorite in Monday night’s AFC North showdown against the Browns. The betting line for the total is listed at 45 ½ points.
The Ravens have fallen into a ‘must win’ situation when it comes to making the playoffs in the AFC. Cleveland has all the momentum in the world as a slight home underdog. The Browns have won their last four games SU. They will be looking to avenge a 38-6 loss to Baltimore in Week 1.
This is another game where the UNDER could be the best bet. It has stayed UNDER in six of the last eight meetings. This includes the first matchup this season with the total set at 47 ½ points.

Any bettors riding home underdogs this NFL season has done quite well with a 58.3 winning percentage ATS. Underdogs in general have covered the closing number 57.6 percent of the time. Road teams have a slight 52.9 percent winning edge against home teams on the closing spread.
The total line has basically been spilt down the middle between an OVER or UNDER bet.
Looking back at last week’s betting results, road dogs really lit up the board at 9-2 ATS. The underdogs covered the spread in 66.7 percent of the games. The total stayed UNDER in 10 of 15 games.
