NFL Updated 1st Quarter Futures Odds
The first four games of the 16-game NFL schedule are in the books. At the first quarter mark of the 2020 season, some of the early results make perfect sense. However, other early results do not.
What Are The Latest NFL Updated 1st Quarter Futures Odds?
Online sportsbooks such as BetOnline have recently updated all the NFL futures on the board. The odds reflect the betting public’s reaction to each team’s first quarter of games. The updated list offers some value in the favorites. There is also some value to be found a bit farther down the list.
Odds to Win Super Bowl LV
The defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs were favored to repeat before this season got underway. At 4-0, nothing has changed. They are leading the way at +350 odds.
That is still quite a bit of plus money given just how strong Kansas City has looked so far. The Chiefs have already beaten their closest competition in the AFC with a 34-20 Week 3 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens are still +600 second-favorites. They are followed by Seattle (+800) and Green Bay (+850) before the odds really drop off.
Odds to Win The NFC
After conceding the AFC title to Kansas City, the battle for the top spot in the NFC takes center stage. Seattle tops that list at +350 odds. The Seahawks are off to a perfect 4-0 straight-up start while also covering against the spread in all four games.
Green Bay has matched that record (SU and ATS) to move into the second spot on this list. The Packers’ odds to win the NFC are +400.
After a shaky start, the betting public is back behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as +550 third-favorites. The allure of Tom Brady at quarterback keeps driving that number down.
The New Orleans Saints were the top favorite to win this conference before Week 1. A 2-2 record (SU and ATS) has tempered that enthusiasm a bit. The Saints are now fourth on the list as a good +650 value play. The odds fall off from there for the rest of the NFC.
NFL Betting Odds to Win The NFC East
Some of the best value on the board at Intertops Sportsbook covers futures odds for each division title race. With Philadelphia leading the NFC East at 1-2-1 SU (1-3 ATS), it looks like the winning team will back into this division title.
The Dallas Cowboys are off to a 1-3 SU start while going 0-4 ATS. They needed an onside kick and last-minute field goal just to get that lone win. The betting public still believes the Cowboys can turn things around. Or at least they believe that Dallas can win more games than the Eagles.
The new futures odds to win the NFC East are:
- Dallas Cowboys -135
- Philadelphia Eagles +125
- Washington Redskins +1400
- New York Giants +5000
Since the NFL rules state that one team has to win, I am banking on Philadelphia at plus money. You could also take a flyer on the SU 0-4 (2-2 ATS) Giants as prohibitive longshots. One win would get them right back into the game.
