Monday Night Football- Chicago Bears vs Los Angeles Rams Betting Picks, Odds, Lines & Predictions

Even though they have only one defeat so far, the Bears (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS) are the underdogs for their Monday Night Football matchup against the Rams (4-2 SU, 3-3 ATS). The Los Angeles team has also pleasantly surprised this year and will be looking to bounce back from their last week’s loss to the 49ers.

Monday Night Football: Chicago Bears vs Los Angeles Rams Betting Line Movement

The home team is favored by -6 at most places, and the line has been even higher earlier this week. The total, after opening at 47, has dropped all the way to 44.5.

Thoughts on Chicago

The Bears sit on top of the NFC North and hold the second-best record in the conference but their wins have been less than convincing for the most part. The total differential of just plus-12 points illustrates how close most of the games have been. Most of the success came on the back of their excellent defense while the offense continues to struggle. The change under the center hasn’t brought much and Nick Foles didn’t look good for most of the time, save for a couple of hot quarters. He had an interception in each of his appearances and threw only 5.8 yards per attempt. Without a significant improvement, it’s difficult to see this offense getting going against the Rams.

Thursday Night Football Picks & Predictions: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears don’t offer much in fantasy terms, either. Their QB issues reflect on the whole team. The most consistent player is WR Allen Robinson, but he is going into a tough matchup against Jalen Ramsey and a big game from him is not very likely. Other receivers are not worth fantasy consideration. RB David Montgomery didn’t shine against the Panthers’ poor run defense going for only 58 yards on the ground. He did have four receptions though, and that number may keep increasing with Tarik Cohen out.

Thoughts on Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Rams ambitions in the loaded NFC West took a big hit with last week’s loss to San Francisco 49ers, and they are entering this game in the must-win mode. Last week they’ve put in their worst performance of the season and will be fired up to win on Monday. Jared Goff will need to step up and produce against the Chicago defense which has been excellent against passing so far. Still, if anyone can scheme to get his QB good looks against a tough defense, it’s Sean McVay. On the other side of the ball, Aaron Donald-led defense has been dominant and Nick Foles and his offensive line could be in for a long night.

A better performance from Jared Goff this week would make a lot of other fantasy prospects in the team more appealing. WRs Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp were disappointing last week but should receive more targets against the Bears. Still, they lack the consistency to be fully trusted. With Chicago allowing only five rushing touchdowns in six games, we also shouldn’t expect much from running backs, although Darrell Henderson will get his fair share of carries.

NFL Week 7 Prime Time Betting Picks

Monday Night Football: Chicago Bears vs Los Angeles Rams Betting Under 44.5

Both teams are entering the game relying on their defense to do the job. With offensive struggles on both sides, we see this matchup as a tight, low-scoring affair.
