November 7, 2020. The Sunday game at the State Farm Stadium will feature the Dolphins (4-3 SU, 5-2 ATS) and the Cardinals (5-2 SU, 5-2 ATS), the two teams on the rise, led by young quarterbacks that are for sure the future of the league. Both teams are coming in the game on the back of three consecutive wins and we could be in for a real treat on Sunday. Miami and Arizona are both currently runners-up in their respective divisions and will look to build on their good form.
Miami Dolphins vs Arizona Cardinals Betting Line Movement
The Cardinals opened as -6 favorites, but with the early action going the way of the Dolphins the line has moved to -4.5. The total moved slightly over the week going from 48 to 49.
Thoughts On The Miami Dolphins
The game on Sunday will be the second start for Tua Tagovailoa since taking over the reins from Ryan Fitzpatrick. His debut ended in the win for the Dolphins, but he has mostly to thank his defense for it. The Miami defensive unit put in a fantastic performance last week, almost completely shutting down Jared Goff. Tua was far from spectacular and completed 12 of 22 passes throwing for 93 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. Next up is his first road start and he will have to significantly improve his performance for Miami to keep up with The Cardinals offense.
Although the talent is obvious, until he puts together a couple of decent performances, Miami’s rookie quarterback has no business being near your fantasy lineup. Tua’s below-par performance against the Rams also meant that neither of his wide receivers or the tight end didn’t see much action. We’ll see if that changes on Sunday, but, for now, it’s best to steer clear of Miami’s receiving options. The situation with the RB core isn’t much better. Injured Myles Gaskin won’t be available for three weeks and Matt Breida is also out, leaving Jordan Howard and Patrick laird to carry all the load.
Thoughts On The Arizona Cardinals
Some may argue that Arizona has their easy schedule to thank for their solid start, but the last game and the overtime win over the Seahawks proved that this team is more than capable to hang with the best in the league. They had some extra time for preparation with the bye week after the Seattle game. Kyler Murray had another great game throwing for 360 yards and three touchdowns. He also the threat on the ground rushing for 437 yards this season and three touchdowns. The key to the game may be the Arizona rushing defense which ranks in the top 10 and will relish the chance to make life difficult for Tua Tagovailoa on his first career road start.
The Dolphins have allowed only eight passing touchdowns so far in this campaign, but with Kyler Murray being the danger running as well as throwing, we can expect another solid score from him this week. RB Chase Edmonds has been putting in dynamic performances all season and now, with Kenyan Drake out, he’ll be the definitive No1 running option and should easily go over 100 yards and add a couple of catches and maybe a touchdown.
Miami Dolphins vs Arizona Cardinals Betting Pick = Under
The four of the last five Miami’s and five of the last seven Arizona’s games went UNDER. Both defenses have been performing well lately and the UNDER seems like a logical pick here. If you wait closer to the kickoff, you may even get a higher total.
