Los Angeles Clippers vs Philadelphia 76ers Betting Odds & Line Movement
The 76ers are home NBA Finals betting favorites for this one, priced at -2. The Clippers’ health situation is still unclear, so there may be some movement later in the day as we get more news. The total is set at 225.5.
Notes On The Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers snatched the win at Detroit on Wednesday despite playing without both Leonard and George. Marcus Morris was also given a rest. Paul George will likely play tonight, while Kahwi’s status is still in the air. In the absence of two stars, Reggie Jackson stepped up, leading the team with 29 points. The Clips also got solid production from Zubac and Kennard. The Croatian center scored 18 and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Kennard added 17 points and 10 boards. Playing without all five projected starters (Ibaka and Beverley are also out), the Clips’ role players showed great resilience and determination coming back from an 11-point deficit in the 4th. However, they struggled to get the offense going throughout the game. They had only 10 assists, the lowest number by any team in the league this season. George’s return should get them going and the potential Leonard’s appearance would obviously be a big plus. Still, as most of the NBA teams, they’ll have difficulties matching up with Embiid. They’ll be facing an uphill battle under the rim, so solid outside shooting will be the key to getting anything out of this game.
Paul George and Marcus Morris are good to go after getting a rest on Wednesday. Leonard is listed as questionable while Ibaka and Beverley remain out.
Notes On The Philadelphia 76ers
On Wednesday, the 76ers took advantage of the depleted Nets, winning 123-117. They now finally have some breathing room at the top of the East. . The most important thing for coach Rivers is that Embiid looks completely healthy. He destroyed Brooklyn, with 39 points and 13 rebounds. It was his 23rd double-double this season. Over the last five games, Ebiid scores 30.2 points on average and grabs 9.0 boards. Against the nets, Tobias Harris added 26 points on an efficient 64.7% from the field. Ben Simmons added 17 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals. Finally in full health, Philly looks like a genuine contender. Embiid is back to MVP form and with Harris, Curry, Green, and Milton, they finally have quality shooting around the All-Star center. At the same time, Ben Simmons continues to make his case for DPOY with each new game.
For tonight’s game, the 76er have a mostly clean bill of health. Harris may be given a rest to nurse his sore right knee, while Dwight Howard and George Hill are unavailable.
Los Angeles Clippers vs Philadelphia 76ers Betting Picks Predictions:Philadelphia -2
The Clippers won the previous NBA Finals betting matchup between the two, but they were at full strength while the 76 were playing without Embiid. The roles are reversed this time, with Philadelphia having all key players available. Even if Kahwi starts, Philly at home with Embiid in full form is a tough matchup for anyone.
