Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts Betting Picks,Odds, Lines & Predictions
Sunday game at Lucas Oil Stadium is an important inter-conference matchup between the Packers (7-2 SU, 6-3 ATS) who lead the NFC North, and the Colts (6-3 SU, 5-4 ATS) holding the top spot in AFC South. Indianapolis comes off a huge win against their divisional rivals, the Titans, while Green Bay had to work much harder than expected to beat the lowly Jaguars at home. The duel between MVP-candidate Aaron Rodgers and Indy’s top-ranked defense promises to be likely the most exciting game of the weekend.
Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts Betting Line Movement
After the Packers opened as -2.5 favorites, the Colts’ impressive showing at Tennessee flipped the odds their way and Indy is now favored by -1.5 or -2 depending on where you place your wager. The total line also saw some movement rising more than two points from opening 49 to 51.5.
Notes On The Green Bay Packers
The Packers share the best record in the NFL despite injury struggles and defensive issues, but their offense led by Aaron Rodgers has done more than enough to nearly secure the playoff spot. Green Bay has created a three-game cushion in the loss column ahead of their divisional rivals and can approach the rest of the season with a bit less pressure. Rodgers was excellent again in a hard-fought home win against the Jaguars, throwing for 325 yards and 2 touchdowns, but this week he’ll meet his match in the Colts passing defense which ranks second in the NFL. The other side of the ball remains an issue, but the return of cornerback Kevin King should help in that department.
The Colts may slow Rodgers down, but he is still worthy of fantasy consideration, as he can throw for over 2250 yards and a couple of touchdowns even on a bad day. As always, a good game for Rodgers means a good game for his receivers, and Davante Adams has already proven to be matchup proof. Allen Lazard is also back after a spell out, but you should wait for an easier matchup and return to full fitness before trusting him in your lineup.
Notes On The Indianapolis Colts
The Colts already have 6 convincing wins under their belt, and have looked elite in most of them. We can expect even more improvement in the upcoming weeks as they are getting healthier and are brimming with confidence following their biggest win of the season against the Titans on the road. Although most of the spotlight is on their impeccable defense, the offensive game is getting better as Phillip Rivers takes more care of the ball and enjoys solid protection from his offensive line. With a defense this good, an average offense should be enough for a strong playoff run.
The rookie WR Michael Pittman is has been productive for a couple of weeks now and was great last week against the Titans with 8 targets and 101 receiving yards. He probably won’t have to match up against Jaire Alexander, so we can expect another big score from him. The RB situation is unclear and it seems like Frank Reich is trusting whoever seems to have a hot hand in a particular game. Last week it was Nyheim Hines who ran for 70 yards and a touchdown, adding 45 yards and another TD receiving, and he could be a nice option this week, too.
NFL Week 11 Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts Betting Pick: UNDER 51.5
If anyone can deal with Aaron Rodgers, it’s the Colts’ defense. On the other side, the Indianapolis Colts will try to establish a ground game and slow the game down. We expect a tight and a low scoring game, easily finishing in an UNDER.
