College Football Betting Pick of The Week
It may be Week 10 of the 2020 college football betting season. However, this is the first time that every conference in IA will be in action. The Pac-12 and the Mid-American Conference will be making their season debuts. This should add even more betting excitement to the board at SportsBetting.ag.
College Football Betting Pick of The Week
The college football betting showdown at the top of the list this Saturday pits the No. 1 Clemson Tigers on the road against the No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. BetOnline.ag has opened the Tigers as 5 ½-point favorites with a 52-point total line.
The early betting consensus leans slightly towards Notre Dame at 52 percent. The edge for betting the total goes towards the OVER.
This is Notre Dame’s first football season in the ACC after playing as an independent. That means that this matchup has major implications for the conference title game. The last time they met was in the 2018 playoff. Clemson won going away 30-3.
NCAAF Betting Pick of the Week
Clemson has won its first seven games straight-up with a 2-5 record against the spread. The Irish are a perfect 6-0 SU while going 2-4 ATS. The biggest storyline for Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. (ET) start on NBC is DJ Uiagalelei taking over for Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. Lawrence will miss his second start in a row after testing positive for COVID-19.
The Tigers needed a second-half rally to get past Boston College last Saturday. They trailed 28-13 at the half before pulling ahead to win 34-28 as heavy 26 ½-point home favorites.
Notre Dame struggled against Louisville in a tight 12-7 win on Oct. 17 as a 16-point favorite. The Irish returned to form in their last two outings with lopsided victories against Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech. Clemson goes on the road with a SU 13-game winning streak away from home. The total has gone OVER in four of its last five games.
Notre Dame has a SU 10-game college football betting winning streak at home so something has to give. As underdogs, the total has stayed UNDER in four of the Irish’s last six games. Without Lawrence under center, this is a three-point game either way. With the current spread sitting at 5 ½ points, my lean is towards the Irish covering ATS.
NCAAF Bonus Pick of the Week
The other big showdown on the Week 10 schedule is an SEC East clash between the No. 8 Florida Gators and the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs. Bovada has the Bulldogs listed as 3 ½-point home favorites for this 3:30 p.m. start on CBS. The total line is set at 53 ½ points.
Each team comes into this game with one loss. Neither can afford another when it comes to their national title hopes. The betting consensus has a heavy lean towards Georgia Bulldogs at 73 percent. Playing this game at home is a huge edge so I would have to agree.
The Bulldogs have the SU 6-3 edge in the last nine meetings. They are also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 college football betting games as favorites.
