Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Betting Lines, Picks, Props & Predictions
The Bears (5-5 SU, 5-5 ATS) will be looking to get back on track after losing four straight games as they travel to Wisconsin to take on their NFC North rivals, the Packers (7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS), in this week’s edition of Sunday Night Football. It’s one of the great NFL rivalries dating back to 1921, with Green Bay holding the edge with a 98-94-6 record in the meetings between the two. More recently, the Packers came out on top in seven out of the last eight games, sweeping the Bears last season.
Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Betting Line Movement
It seems that even the oddsmakers are not sure what to think of this game and the spread has been all over the place this week moving from -7.5 to -9.5 in Green Bay’s favor. At the moment, depending on where you bet, you can find spreads from -8.5 to -9.5. The total hasn’t moved that much and right now it stands at 44.5.
Notes On The Chicago Bears
The Bears are coming off a much-needed bye week after managing to ruin everything good they did at the start of the season with the four-game losing streak. The biggest issue is still quarterback play since neither Mitch Trubisky nor Nick Foles has shown that they can be relied upon to lead this Chicago offense. According to the latest news, Trubisky is set to regain his status as a starter as Foles is out with an injury, and we’ll see if a couple of weeks on the bench did him any good. The defense remains near the top of the league, but they can carry this team only so far.
Probably the only fantasy-relevant player on this roster is WR Allen Robinson who has 755 yards so far on 61 catches but with only three touchdowns. His stats obviously suffered a lot due to the poor QB play, but if Trubisky manages to put together a half-decent performance, Robinson could be a good under-the-radar pick this week.
Notes On The Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay will enter this game knowing that a win here will all but secure the top spot in the NFC North. On the other hand, a loss will put the Bears dangerously close and put extra pressure on the Packers, especially knowing that they will be making a trip to Soldier Field in the last week of the season. It’s a hole the Packers dug for themselves after squandering a 14-point lead at the half in Indianapolis last week. They collapsed in the second half allowing 17 unanswered points before eventually losing in overtime. The offense is still explosive on the back of the excellent performances of Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams but as we saw last week they are prone to cold stretches, and Chicago’s stingy defense will certainly make things hard for them.
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams continue to put up good numbers, and although Chicago is going to be a tough challenge, they’ve both proven to be matchup-proof and should be among the first names in all fantasy formats.
Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Betting Pick UNDER 44.5
The game is going to be played on a frozen tundra that is Lambeau Field in November and these kinds of games usually end with a low number of total points. Chicago will put all of their hopes in their defense and try to slow down Green Bay’s offense as much as possible.
