TPC Harding Park San Francisco Prepares For The 2020 PGA Championship
It has been a long, agonizing wait for golf fans and bettors alike for a 2020 Major. The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc on this year’s schedule. However, starting on Thursday, Aug. 6., the best golfers in the world will compete in the 2020 PGA Championship.
First, the Masters had to be postponed until November. The PGA Championship moved to May in 2019 but it was postponed to early August. The 2020 US Open was originally scheduled for the third week in June. This Major is now scheduled for later in September. The Open Championship (British Open) was cancelled altogether.

Professional golf and the PGA Tour has persevered. The regular tour schedule was first shutdown in early March. This lasted more than three months until live events resumed in mid-June with no fans in attendance.
Added excitement for this week’s PGA Championship has been driven by the lack of major sports betting events. Professional golf in general caught the eye of bettors back in June. This was when MLB, NBA, and NHL were still in the planning stage to restart their seasons.
